The scented natural world has bestowed Asian cultures with a rich heritage which is being gradually discovered by scholars – simultaneously as the existence and transmission of natural resources, local knowledge and skills, become more and more threatened.


In the course of these developments, various initiatives have been taken, such as the plantation of aromatic plants in high demand on the world market.
